Jazzmania
Soundboard of jazz modernism with subtitle No retro, modern jazz forever, in January will present two big band versions of the Quincy Jones Orchestra from the late 1950s and early 1960s. His orchestras are literally teeming with the most famous figures of modern jazz. Jones is one of the world's oldest living jazz musicians - he will be 90 years old in March!
The next Kaleidoscope will have a chamber character. It will feature the Czech-Danish duo of saxophonist Lubos Soukup with pianist Christian Pabst, Danish guitarist Jacob Bro with American rhythm stars Thomas Morgan and Joey Baron. There will also be a selection from another great solo concert by pianist Keith Jarrett, this time on a recording from Bordeaux.
The quintet of flugelhorn player Enrico Rava with guest saxophonist Joe Lovano will provide an entertaining ending.
