Jana Kománková: Radio 1 - life on air

A unique publication mapping the history of Radio 1 and the beginnings of non-state radio broadcasting in the Czech Republic. This is the book Life on the Air, which will be christened on 16 October in the Unijazz Reading Room.

The story of this unique radio, unparalleled even in the world, was published as a 352-page book containing over 500 photographs from its beginnings in 1990 to the present day. It was published thanks to a successful crowdfunding platform. Most of the print run is currently sold out, with a reprint coming in October. At the same time, the audiobook is being recorded and should be released before Christmas.

The launch will be a small celebration of the book about the unique radio and independent culture as a whole, you will hear music selected by Radio 1 DJs.
