Argo: The long-awaited Tolkien party
On January 3, 2024, the grandmaster of fantasy J. R. R. Tolkien would have celebrated his 132nd birthday. He left behind an extraordinarily large body of work, so that thanks to the care of editors like his son Christopher, Tolkien's "novellas" are still being published today, fifty years after the author's death. Thus, Argo will be publishing a new edition in the autumn of 2023. The Fall of Númenor and the long-awaited Beren a Lúthienwhich took over five years to translate. That's why we decided to organize a party at Unijazz, where we will present both new and upcoming Tolkien works and talk to the translators about the pitfalls and pitfalls that await them (not only) in the corners of Morya and Fangorn, but mainly in the text itself.
Free admission.
