The Flying Rabbi

The enchanting melodies of Eastern European Jewry, unique Yiddish songs and their contemporary retellings, tradition and the present - all of this comes together in the impressive and original music of the Flying Rabbi! The Flying Rabbi is a five-piece klezmer ensemble. Its starting point is traditional sound and folkloristic approach, and its goal is contemporary yet timeless music. Its repertoire includes wedding music of Eastern European Jews, both dance and listening, as well as old and new songs in Yiddish and other languages, always with lots of unexpected influences and inspirations. The leading Czech klezmer band confidently develops the Jewish musical tradition in our region in the 21st century. The Flying Rabbi (founded in 2001) has hundreds of concerts throughout the Czech Republic and many concerts around the world (Europe, USA, Africa).
