Iva Grundová and Vladimír Wagner
Vladimir Wagner: Nature etc.
Vladimír Wagner brings a slightly different view of natural motifs, not dealing with the large landscape panoramas offered by the hills of Pálava near his cottage in South Moravia. He concentrates on the details of natural objects - he captures the distinct line of the leaves of a cut cabbage, the protrusions on the head of a celery, the inside of a hokkaido pumpkin. To this he adds an exploration of the jagged end of a vine, which he translates into surprising colour combinations. A final inspiration is the furnishings of a neighbour's shed, where fruit and vegetable scraps, farm machinery and discarded items are piled in unexpected assemblages.
Iva Grundová: Layers
Layers of past and present, revealing and hiding, memories under layers, layers of our memories, above and below, inside and deep, more layering and peeling away of the past and present.
Free admission.
