Tableau of Jazz Modernism featuring the music of 1960s avant-gardists Cecil Taylor and Steve Lacy. V Kaleidoscope we will hear a posthumously released recording by Tomasz Stańek, music by the rising star trumpeter Peter Evans; with trumpeter Wadada Leo Smith we will remember the music of Billie Holiday and something from a different barrel will be played by Theo Jörgensmann with Albrecht Maurer, for a joyful end of the evening Lester Bowie with his fantastic brass band.
