NIKA - album launch Elsewhere

NIKA will be launching his new album Elsewhere at the Unijazz Reading Room

Singer-songwriter NIKA invites you to the launch of her second studio album Elsewhere, which will take place on 22 May in Prague's Čítárna Unijazz. The album, which will be released on 18 March 2025, represents a bold musical and personal shift in its 11 songs - combining elements of jazz, pop, folk and alternative, it brings a deep reflection on themes such as inner strength, reconciliation and overcoming personal boundaries.

The album Elsewhere was created as a natural follow-up to her debut Flesh & Soul (2022), which impressed with its rawness and emotional intensity. The new release, however, brings new soundscapes and a broader spectrum of musical expression. A preview from the album is the fall single I Deserve To Be Calm, which thematizes self-acceptance and coming to terms with the pressures of one's surroundings.

NIKU will be accompanied on stage by drummer Jonáš Bjolek, pianist Pavel Duda and bassist Nicolas Gatto, who participated in the studio version of Elsewhere and together form a cohesive concert formation. The intimate atmosphere of the Unijazz Reading Room will underline the emotional charge of the evening, which promises an unforgettable musical experience.

NIKA is a singer-songwriter who mixes elements of jazz, pop, folk and alternative music in her work. A graduate of the Janáček Conservatory in composition, she made her debut in the spring of 2022 with the album Flesh & Soul.

For her debut album Flesh & Soul, she won the Moravian-Silesian Jantar Art Award in the popular music category, became the winner of the Junior category in the JazzFruit competition and performed at prestigious festivals such as Colours of Ostrava, Smetanova Litomyšl, Prague Sounds or the Czech Music Crossroads showcase festival, as well as at the Paris-Prague jazz club in Paris.

The album Elsewhere is released with the support of OSA - the Copyright Protection Association.
