Mirek Kemel Trio
Mirek Kemel has been a musician since he was young, although he released his first album Krajem šel anděl (The Land went andel) in 2011. After the successful album Vlčí stopy (2021) directed by Petr Ostrouchov, he released a fresh album Mordyjé this November. The Czech cultural public knows Mirek Kemel as the author of cartoon vitpics glossing Czech and world political and cultural events. However, in his musical work he tends to gravitate towards seriousness, introspection, poetic images and life situations portrayed with a quick narrative shortcut. Over the years, Mirek Kemel has grown into a singer-songwriter who is a joy to listen to, no matter which of his ensembles he plays in. At the Unijazz Reading Room he will perform in a trio with Tomas Görtler (accordion, keyboards) and Vlastimil Konopiski (guitars).
