UNI on stage: Ildikó Kali solo (SK) - Stories that didn't disappear

Musicians Ildikó Kali brings music from her award-winning studio album Jore Jore and new songs from her upcoming album to concert stages. The show retains the feel of the studio recording but brings new impulses, fresh arrangements and the energy of a live performance. 

The album Jore Jore is an original project by Ildikó Kali, which builds on traditional lyrics and poetics of folk ballads and transforms them musically into a contemporary language. The new songs sung in the Ruthenian language are ballads of Eastern Slovakia and are inspired by the music of the world.

Archetypal motifs, the first horror in Slovak literature, archaisms, regional dialects, intercultural connections (Slovak-African fusion) and Romani poetics in songs meet with musical arrangements enriched with natural motifs. The dominant feature is the authentic vocal expression, which carries a strong archaic emotion.
