Some are irritated, others are excited - such is the relationship of the music audience to the creative approach of jazz musicians to classical music, old and new. But the results of arrangements by these jazz heretics of famous names are almost always worth listening to to the unprejudiced mind. That is why in May Jazzmania will host the one-night festival Prague Spring in Jazz, featuring music by J. S. Bach, A. Dvořák, M. Ravel, G. Rossini, L. v. Beethoven and R. Schumann in inventive performances by the American The Modern Jazz Quartet, the Polish trio Marcin Wasilewski, the Swiss trio Vein, the English band Mike Westbrook and the American Uri Caine with the Concert Köln Symphony. Dress code for this concert is not required in the Unijazz Reading Room.
