Throughout November, you can donate to the War Veterans Day fundraiser at the Reading Room at the Bar, organized by Memory of a Nation to directly assist veterans and other freedom fighters.
Like last year, you can come and get a beautiful poppy-shaped brooch for 50 CZK and pin it on your head as a symbol of respect to our heroes.
We are very sorry, but unfortunately today's Sakobi concert is cancelled due to technical reasons.
From September, we are open again every day except Sunday from 2-11pm, so you can drop in for a late lunch or snack and you'll have space and peace to work or study in the afternoon.
Please note that we will be closed on Saturdays in August.
We believe that the weather will allow and Saturdays will belong to sunbathing

For the eighth time in the Unijazz Reading Room we are announcing an open call for participation in a joint non-competitive holiday exhibition of artists*women, not only visual artists.
There are no restrictions on the theme or treatment, except that all works should reflect the space of the Reading Room in which they will be presented.
Works of art: painting, drawing, graphics, photography, which will be limited to the space of the Reading Room and each exhibitor will have 1-2m2 of space at their disposal.
Works presented at the opening on 4/8 : video art, readings, performance, music.

In the summer, you want to play it easy!
Play in the Unijazz Reading Room at one of our summer acoustic concerts. Whether you are starting a new musical project or have been at home on stage for years, we welcome your music in acoustic form. Invite your loved ones and your fan club to come and chill and tune in with us in the summer heat. During the evening, there will be performance opportunities for 3-4 projects (soloists* and multi-member groups - acoustic playing is a requirement). Each project will receive a maximum of 30 minutes of playing time and money from the audience, collected during the performance "in the hat / in the case".
Technical conditions:
- there will be a power supply on the stage, max. two microphones with stands and an active speaker for the vocals
- custom sound (e.g. 10-15W combo) for guitar, bass or keyboards can also be used. However, it will not be possible to install your own complete sound equipment
- percussion will include cajon, tambourine or other acoustic percussion. It will not be possible to use a full drum kit
- We don't want to limit ourselves in terms of genre, and we in the Reading Room organizing team would like to broaden our horizons.
Then we will choose from the flood of interested women responsibly to the (d)ears of those listening.
