One of J. R. R. Tolkien’s key sources of inspiration was the Finnish epic Kalevala and its hero, Kullervo, the prototype for Túrin Turambar.

The debate will focus on The Story of Kullervo translated by Jan Čermák and for the forthcoming Czech edition The Hobbit with illustrations by Tove Jansson.

The event is organised by Scandinavian House and Argo Publishing House.
