Argo: Jaromír Typlt & Klára Krásenská
Two new collections of Czech poetry are published by Argo: Jaromír Typlt's Pouzdří (Case) and Klára Krásenská's Veni, veni (Veni, veni). Typlt is one of the stalwarts of the Czech poetry scene, while Krásenská shone like a supernova with her debut Mýtinami last year. "Don't tempt your God / by believing in a future life / let alone an eternal one, / in light and bright days, indeterminate hopes," Klára Krásenská writes in her book - and Jaromír Typlt seems to add in his collection: "So that no longer only the ends of the branches / so that even the roots under the ground may whisk you away!" These and other oaths, incantations and curses will be recited by both poets in the Reading Room of the Unijazz; they will be introduced by the editor of both collections, Petr Onufer, and accompanied by music by the composer Michal Rataj.
