Argo: An Evening of Irish Literature

We invite you to an evening of Irish literature, but this time don't expect James Joyce or Sally Rooney. We'll be talking about Irish-language literature. University lecturer and translator Radvan Markus and his guests will take us through a brief history of the Irish language and literature, but mainly we will talk about Czech translations of Irish literature, including the novel Mairtín Ó Cadhain Cemetery dirt, which won the Magnesia Litera Award for Best Translated Book, and his latest work, the novel Your own way Seosamha Mac Grianny. And you can also look forward to the musical accompaniment.
