Heartnoize meets Puschen: Raisa K and plainhead
Subtle melodies and a love letter to everyday life, as well as delicate alt-pop with its roots in the shoegaze aesthetic.
As part of the Heartnoize series, artists from the Berlin-based Puschen collective will be performing, this time with an emphasis on sensitivity, introspection, subtle melodies and delicate connections. The concert will be preceded by a discussion entitled „What the hell is an independent label for in 2026?!“, moderated by Adam Badí Donoval.
Raisa Khan, also known as Raisa K She made her debut last year with the album 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦, a down-to-earth pop album based on simple production, catchy melodies and lyrics with a perfect eye for detail. The album consists exclusively of instrumental tracks, which were composed in the spare moments of everyday life – on the way to work, whilst watching her child at the playground, or during a short break from work. In these tracks, the musician effortlessly explores the complex themes of interpersonal relationships, their cycles and the commitments that never leave us. During live performances, Raisa K is accompanied by Coby Sey on bass guitar and vocals.
Plainhead straddles the line between a solo and a band project, combining a strong vision with the energy of collaboration. The group, hailing from the Munich DIY scene, was initially influenced mainly by 1990s shoegaze, but gradually transformed into a calmer, more acoustic formation centred around the clarinet. Their debut album 𝘐 𝘚𝘗𝘓𝘐𝘛 𝘔𝘠 𝘖𝘙𝘎𝘈𝘕 𝘐𝘕 𝘛𝘞𝘖𝘚, released in 2024, was inspired by freak folk, the next album 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘈𝘳𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘈 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘴 moved away from rock towards electronic music and acoustic instruments. This has given rise to surreal, ever-changing soundscapes, over which heavy grey clouds drift, occasionally bringing rain.
This event is organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the Prague City Council.
