Guest of Krenovka: Trans-Siberian Odyssey (Ina Píšová)
Trans-Siberian Odyssey: In the Footsteps of Czechoslovakia Legionnaires
In 2017, Ina found her great-grandfather's 100-year-old war diary, Czechoslovak legionary Jan Kouba, who during World War I fought in Russia for an independent Czechoslovakia and later against the Bolsheviks. Ina follows in her great-grandfather's footsteps on the Trans-Siberian Railway, on a 9288km journey from Moscow to Vladivostok, which will take her not only deep into the freezing taiga and remote Siberian villages, but above all into your own family history.
A book about the expedition was published Trans-Siberian Odysseywhich won the Prize Hanzelka and Zikmund for the Travelogue of the Year 2018.
