Jazzmania of Vladimír Kouril #240

A timeless jazz kaleidoscope.

In the March Soundboard of Jazz Modernism, presented under the subtitle No retro, modern jazz forever, Vladimír will present one of the most important orchestras of the 1960s, indeed of modern jazz history, led, composed for and arranged by trumpeter Quincy Jones.

In the Kaleidoscope of the Present, the trio of bassist František Uhlíř will play, this time with the great Austrian guitarist Edi Köhldorfer, of course also with drummer Jaromír Helešic. Trumpet player Tom Harrell will play from two albums, and saxophonist Joshua Redman will be featured on the album of the star quartet with pianist Brad Mehldau, bassist Christian McBride and drummer Brian Blade; those who attended their concert in Lucerna last autumn will be glad to remember their amazing music.
