A timeless jazz kaleidoscope in a traditional reading program. The late, great tenor saxophonist Hank Mobley will be presented by the Tableau of Jazz Modernism. Kaleidoscope will feature his now instrumental colleague Branford Marsalis in a duo with pianist Joey Calderazzo, trumpeter Ron Miles with guitarist Bill Frisell, and the progressive ensemble Trondheim Jazz Orchestra from Norway. In the Behind the Humans section, they will perform solo improvisations performer of this year's Jazz Goes To Town festival, Slovenian pianist Kaja Draksler. In the Blinded from the Archives section, classic blues guitarist Eric Clapton will play and sing with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis' bandmates.
