Katarína Máliková + Tereza Hrabini
Katarína Máliková is one of the most outstanding talents of the Slovak music scene. Her debut album Pustvopol (Slnko records, 2016) has received critical acclaim, nominations and awards in Slovakia and abroad. Second studio album Postalgia (Slnko records, 2019) crosses the boundaries of the world music genre and is classified as a record in the style of sang-pop with elements of classical music. Katarína Máliková has so far performed in 12 countries across Europe, and her music has been heard on radio stations around the world (BBC6, KEXP). She is currently performing solo, returning to her classical music craft. Her brilliant piano arrangements are accompanied by vocals of a wide range, balancing the often extreme positions of her vocal register. Minimalist piano and vocal improvisations are complemented by looping that layers vocals and piano sounds to create dreamy soundscapes.
Fragile, ambient electronics, characteristic multi-voices and poetic lyrics. Tereza Hrabini released her debut solo album Transition in early September under the Indie Scope label. During the evening at the Unijazz Reading Room, the singer will present new songs accompanied by Andrei Kovalevsky.
