Korjen

Korjen was born out of a love and attraction to the living legacy of traditional music. In 2010, a trio of singers with origins in Bosnia, Poland, Slovakia and Armenia met Czech musicians in Prague. The result is a band that lets the songs of its female singers' roots ring out against the backdrop of its original aesthetic. It is the female component of the band that guards the original form intertwined with the essence of the song. The male part brings it to life, disturbing it, developing it and pushing it beyond the boundaries of musical styles.
