The Flying Rabbi

The Flying Rabbi is a klezmer band from Czechia founded in 2001 by a group of friends from secondary school who accidentally discovered klezmer music and Yiddish poetry. After almost 25 years, their sound still resonates on stages across Europe and beyond. The ensemble loves traditional style, klezmer roots and translations from Yiddish, but also creates its own instrumental melodies and songs in Czech, thus preserving its uniqueness and liveliness. Their music is influenced by early klezmer recordings and the local musical traditions they grew up with. Bohemian spirit, hartsik un mit a fayer.
