Prague for pedestrians and bikes without engines - Sudop Real + Open House Prague
At the beginning of the last century, people were still used to walking from one end of Prague to the other; however, the city was much smaller then and there were not many alternatives to walking. But what is the situation today? How friendly is contemporary Prague to those who choose to move around on their own? Are there places you can no longer get to "on foot"? And are there still places where you have no chance to get there otherwise? Why are sidewalks completely missing in some places and as wide as the entire road in others? And what about riding a bike, scooter, or other similar approximations? Does such traffic belong on the sidewalk, or just on the road? And what difficulties do you encounter if you do not want to use motorised transport? These are just some of the questions that will be asked in a panel debate on "Prague for pedestrians and cyclists without motors," co-organized by Open House Prague and Krenovka in the Reading Room of the Unijazz.
