An Evening with Comenius: Labyrinth of the World and Lusthauz Heart in a new edition

Comenius completed the manuscript of The Labyrinth of the World and Lusthaus of the Heart on 13 December 1623 at the foot of Klopoty Hill. It was not in a forest hut or a cave, as the 19th century romantic interpretations of the Komenský monument in Brandýs nad Orlicí remind us, but in a local part of the town in one of the houses belonging to the members of the Unity of Brothers. The year 2023 will therefore mark the 400th anniversary of this phenomenal work. In the colloquium The Labyrinth of the World and the Lusthauz Heart in a New Edition, we will recall both the origin and significance of this work and its first book publication in a new era.
