An original project by Prague-based Texan singer, bassist and theatre director Alyssa Dillard. A sound inspired by old discos, where jazz, soul, funk and dance beats mix in the sweat of the dance floor. Synth overdubs and afrobeat rhythms. Madame LEDET is accompanied by Late Night Affair, a band made up of musicians who meet regularly at Prague's multi-genre jam-sessions.
Brno's whirlwind on the border of funk, folk and latino in original and borrowed songs led by energetic singer Veronika Bartosova. Her voice, moving with ease and humour between the storminess of Aretha Franklin and the delicacy of Zuzana Navarová, is ably supported by guitarist Aleš Vosáhlo, percussionist and drummer Radim Dančev and bassist Martin Švéda. You may know VeHiBa not only from the Re:Kabaret of Bolek Polívka Theatre, but also as the absolute winner of the legendary folk Porta from 2022.
