Katarín Zima: Imaginative cello

Cellist Katarín's musicality is linked to the Slovak (big) mountains, with her mind floating on the waves of modern music full of (di)fusions. In her solo work, she uses elements of improvisation, meditative repetitiveness and imaginativeness, which she unconsciously combines with traditional Slavic motifs and sounds from her adventurous travels, aided by a stereo looper, subtle electronic samples and various other sounds and elementary musical instruments.
