Acoustic Summer in the Reading Room #5

In the summer, you want to play it easy! And that's why we are organizing a series of summer acoustic concerts. Come and spend a pleasant evening at our bar and delight your ears by listening to both emerging and established names in the music scene playing acoustic. A unique opportunity to support your favourites* as well as discover new faces and tunes! 3-4 projects will perform during the evening, both solo and group. You never know what you will get, but one thing is for sure - it will be worth it.

Tear Your Bow is a symphonic ensemble inspired by Balkan brass band, the golden era of French chanson and poetry. They play their own compositions with Czech lyrics and richly arranged accompaniments on classical instruments. #magical_realism #reflexion 1TP5History 1TP5Hope #láska

Rapsodéve is a musical project by Ivana Pinčáková, in which she poetically reveals emotions and themes to the atmospheric musical background of Martin Pisk. Their artistic influences come not only from the musical sphere, but also from the artistic, literary and film spheres. For Rapsodeve, creation is an element that liberates what has long been repressed but never forgotten; an element of liberation that can only be found in art. Genre-wise they fall mostly into dream-pop, alternative/electronic, but at the Reading Room they will perform their songs in unplugged form.

Lighthouse Academy is an artistic group that tries to guide a lot of young talented female singers* to professionalism. During the Acoustic Summer you will hear singing teachers Nela Doležálková and Radim Pátek and with them three skilled singers who sing under the guidance of teacher Nela - Anita Šilhavíková, Anežka Fořtová and Veronika Cichrová. Their repertoire will be Czech and varied. We will show you our work and enthusiasm for music in action. We sing accompanied by Kateřina Pohlová (piano), Dominik Šuk (guitar) and Roman Šmahlík (cajon).

Adam & Kamila: take two music-loving individuals, put them in an apartment with a musical instrument and observe. Sooner or later they will probably start playing together. Under such circumstances, Adam Blazek and Kamila Koncova got together. Kamila is the voice of the duo - a singer whose range extends from gospel to intimate bossa nova. The accompaniment is provided by Adam Blažek, a pianist who has fallen equally in love with the masters of classical and jazz music and likes to combine both worlds in his playing. The guests will be Kateřina Vlastová (saxophone, flute) and Jan Kusovský (double bass).

Those are the circumstances that brought together Adam Blažek and Kamila Koncová. Kamila is the voice of the duo - a singer whose repertoire goes from gospel to intimate bossa nova. She will be accompanied by Adam, a pianist who has fell for classical music as well as for jazz, and who likes to merge the two in his music. They will play with Kateřina Vlastová (saxophone, flute) and Jan Kusovský (bass) as guest performers.
