Market Lamoš Žitňanská: Grey cells
Most of the newly created paintings under the title Grey Cells are inspired by a well-known iconic figure. However, the theme is misleading. In texture and characteristic approach to painting, it is just a continuation in a thematic cycle. Cursed Grey Cells - the cell as shape, symbol, icon and homage. It makes me dream, think, reflect on life. It doesn't let me forget. It makes me see what I don't want to see. Even though they're fast, they need time and serotonin. When they have it, they feel good. It creates interaction. In painting, it's still a dialogue, and grey isn't always grey.
Market Lamoš Žitňanská (1980) was born in Kroměříž. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. Her work is profiled in various directions. Her artistic development is broad. Thematically she deals with several patterns, but they are always felt and perceived with her person and the space in which she lives. The events in her paintings are based on a factual concrete stimulus with an emphasis on simplicity of line or the solution of layered surfaces. She strives for purity of expression and form, for minimalist morphology and symbolic expression with an overlap into the graphic. It modifies the real stimulus abstractly. He lives and works in Prague.
