Radek Doskočil: Golem Tower Me

Launch of Radek Doskočil's comic book Golem Tower Me - a comic about the mystery of Žižkov and the TV tower.

How did Mahler's Orchards come into being? What was this place used for in the past and what was it used for in the 1950s? And how did the Žižkov TV tower come to be here? After reading this comic you will want to walk through these places. Or read it again, perhaps right in the park under the tower.

The story, in which legend, history and the present meet, revolves around the Žižkov Tower. The author has been in its vicinity all his life, so he had enough time to remember everything that happened in that place. Or maybe it still does?

Radek Doskočil

Born 1977 in Prague. Graduate of the Department of Animation at FAMU. Before school he worked in Brothers in Trick and Duran studio. After school in Tobogang studio. He has worked in animation, art design, storyboards, music videos (Murder song - winning animated music video at Anifest 2006), as an animator he worked on the film Alois Nebel. As a freelancer he has collaborated with CT on jingles and jingles, and as a storyboarder he worked on animation for Czech animated feature films. He has worked on video projections for various music projects and vjing at events. He participated in the founding of the Žižkov club Punctum. Participates in events
groups Got Neighbours (group exhibitions, comics Syčáci) As an artist he has had four exhibitions (large-scale drawings, collages, objects) in Prague and Telč. He lives and works in Žižkov.
